Brock brings a wide variety of experience and knowledge to the Bodyfit team. He has been training in Lexington since the summer of 2008 and has been with Bodyfit since the summer of 2011. He became the full time Training Director in the summer of 2013. He has a passion for working with clients who are willing to push themselves each and every day in the gym in order to reach their fitness goals. Brock’s unique ability to motivate and push clients past their perceived limits, all while keeping a light environment and a smile on his face is what makes his training sessions and group classes very successful.
Having worked with collegiate and professional athletes, weight loss participants, elderly individuals, and nutritional clients, Brock has the experience and comfort of a wide clientele base. Having worked with such a wide range of clients is what makes Brock’s classes very effective. He has the ability to push individuals throughout the whole class, regardless of their own fitness level. His laid back, yet positive approach is encouraging to those who may be struggling during a particular exercise or tiring toward the end of the hour.
Currently Brock spends his free time training for and competing in triathlons and other races. He believes in the value of hard work and determination. His dedication to leading a healthy lifestyle and belief in “practice what you preach” result in the first-hand experience and attitude that are necessary to be a successful personal trainer.
Brock became a certified Personal Trainer in 2009 and has held a certification with the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach since 2011. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Transylvania University in 2009 and a Master’s of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kentucky in 2011.
His passion for helping others, experience with a wide clientele range, education, and active lifestyle give him the skills and knowledge to be a vital part of the Bodyfit Punch team.
